| In one of the most beautiful areas of LUCCA, in a panoramic position, there is "LA CAPPELLA", a nice house made out of a XVII Century convent, from where you can have a fantastic sight of Lucca, the center of which can be reached in a short time , since the distance from it is only 7 km. The house is aproximately at 40 minutes of distance from the main towns of Florence and Pisa and their respective International Airports. Following the route to Camaiore you can reach in a short time, the beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. " La Cappella" offers the chance of having a holiday rich of historic and artistic interest in a completely relaxing athmosphere. Once upon time, the famouse route "VIA FRANCIGENA" passed by here and it lead all the pilgrims, coming from France and Spain, to Rome. The property is surrounded by a park where there is lovely, terraced swimming-pool overlooking the valley. | From Florence : Motorway A11 heading towards PISTOIA. From Pisa : Motorway A11 heading FIRENZE. Exit LUCCA and follow signs for LUCCA Centre of Town until you reach the antique walls and from there follow the sign for CAMAIORE. Leaving the walls behind you you will pass the bridge over the Serchio River. Once passed the bridge keep the right always following the sign for CAMAIORE. Drive for about 3 km. until you reach the sign CAPPELLA. Go on untill you see a Post Office, a Bar and a small Grocery Store on you left. Opposite to that there is a parking area from which starts a road that leads up the hill; take this road following the signs La Cappella ( with the bed symbol) and the sign for the Romanic Church of San Lorenzo alla Cappella. Follow this road up for about 3.5 KM. until you reach the Church. Pass by it, keep the road on the left and shortly after the church take the first dirt road on your left, until the gate of the Villa. |
